1^st Mount Albert Cubs – Master Year Schedule

Wednesday Sept 9 – Registration Night from 6:30 to 8:00 at the Mt Albert Lions Hall.

Thursday Sept 17 - First Meeting – Located at the Mount Albert Public School from 6:45 to 8:15 – Welcome to Cubs Evening. Just a reminder, that all youth are to be in full uniform for each meeting regardless of whether we are at the school or other activities unless otherwise notified. Do not forget to wear the proper foot wear for games and activities.

Dues are $1.00 each meeting whether meetings are held at the school or other locations unless otherwise notified.

Thursday Sept 24 - No meeting due to Mt Albert Public School Meet the Teacher BBQ

Thursday Oct 1 - Regular Meeting at the School – Knots, camp prep

Friday Oct 2 – Sunday Oct 4 - Annual Fall All Section Camp at Woodland Trails – celebrating our 85^th Anniversary.

Thursday Oct. 8 - Regular Meeting at the School - Camp review, packing of tents

Thursday Oct. 15 - Meeting at the School - Getting ready for Apple Day

Saturday Oct. 17 - Apple Day – Meet at the Pavillion at the Mount Albert Community Centre at 9:00 am. Bring a basket and polishing cloth. We will be canvassing the town of Mt. Albert. Lunch of Hot Dogs and hot chocolate will be served, but will advise of location for lunch.

Thursday Oct. 22 - Regular Meeting at the School – Preparing for Investiture

Thursday Oct. 29 - Uxbridge Corn Maze.  Located at 266 Ashworth Rd. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TIME IS 6:45 – 8:00 PM AND THE COST TBD. Will advise closer to date

Please dress warmly for the weather conditions. Please wear a Mt Albert Scouts neckerchief under your clothing (if you have one)  and wear your full uniform, sashes and books are not necessary. Please bring a flashlight with you. Parents and siblings are welcome to attend, however, a parent must remain and be responsible for siblings. The Corn Maze is located at Uxbridge Corn Maze - at the Cooper Goat Farm located at 266 Ashworth Road, Zephyr, Ont. Go straight through at the stop sign on Mt Albert Sideroad and Durham 30. Go PAST BROOKS FARMS, approx 5 km east to the farm)

Thursday Nov 5 - Investiture to be held at the Wolscht Family property located at 11359 York Durham 30.  11359 is north of Mount Albert side road just before the road turns to go to Zephyr, on the east side of the road.  Once there follow the dirt road along the field, it is a few minutes drive back to where the campfire is.  Parents are encouraged to attend the ceremony and camp fire. All Cubs are to be in full uniform. New Cubs will be getting their neckerchiefs (if they have not been part of Mt Albert Scouting before) Cub Woggles, Cub Epaulettes, Uniform patches. All Sixers and Seconds will be getting their Epaulettes.

We do have a few rules while on the property. Please do not go into the fields, do not go near the bee hives on the way into the property and we have been asked not to use any of the play equipment. A note to the Cubs – remember your cheer, song or skit that we practiced at the last meeting.

Saturday Nov 7 is Leaf cleanup at the Mt Albert United Church. Please meet at the church from 9:00 to 12:00, bring a rake. Dress for the weather.

Sunday Nov 8 is the Remembrance Day Service at the Mt Albert United Church. Please dress in full uniform, and meet in the church basement between 10:00 and 10:15. We will be assembling after the service to parade to the Mt Albert Community Centre for wreath laying at the park entrance. We have been invited back to the Legion following the service and wreath laying for a light lunch. All are invited to attend.

Tuesday Nov 11 – Wear your uniform to school for Remembrance Day
